Reina Maria van Pallandt is a senior disputes resolution lawyer with dual British and Dutch nationality. After obtaining an LLB Honors degree in Dutch Law and Public International Law at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Reina Maria studied International Law of the Sea at London School of Economics (LSE).

She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 1979 and of the Law Society of Ireland in 2019. In 2018, Reina Maria obtained an LLM in Military Law from UvA. Reina Maria practised as a solicitor at Holman, Fenwick & Willan in London and Paris and thereafter at Clifford Chance where she specialised in marine and international commercial litigation and arbitration representing shipowners, P & I Clubs, shipbuilders and repair yards, energy companies and commodity traders. She became a partner at Collyer Bristow LLP in 1992 where she added product liability law to her practice.

In 1995, Reina Maria was appointed legal adviser to the Netherlands Embassy at the Court of St. James’s. In that context she provided advice on public international law focusing on extradition, diplomatic immunity, UN sanctions and international law of armed conflict both to Dutch and other international entities.

Reina Maria is bilingual in Dutch and English and fluent in French and German. She practises in The Hague and London.
