How we help

Our expertise spans a broad range of legal and regulatory matters within the life sciences sector, including the structuring and negotiation of intellectual property licensing arrangements for pharmaceutical products, both inbound and outbound, and the drafting of distribution agreements across the UK, EU and international markets. We advise on commercial terms for the purchase and supply of medical products and research materials, as well as clinical trial agreements between pharmaceutical companies and Clinical Research Organisations. Our team also has significant experience in matters relating to the ABPI Code of Practice, including advising on compliance and handling disputes between pharmaceutical companies.

We provide specialist guidance on data protection and privacy, including GDPR compliance in clinical trials, the handling of sensitive patient and practitioner data, and complex cross-border data transfers, particularly between the UK, EEA and the United States. Our work also covers contract manufacturing arrangements, regulatory compliance involving the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in relation to medicines and medical devices, and the negotiation of research and collaboration agreements with universities and other research bodies.
