Corporate and Commercial Solicitor

The Opportunity

This role is for a senior lawyer who doesn’t just want a seat at the table — but a hand in shaping it.

You will:

Bring and service a substantial client following of your own
Take a lead role in managing and developing the firm’s existing non-contentious client base
Actively grow both through collaboration, cross-selling, and leveraging Prospect Law’s strong brand and reputation

This is not a pure fee-earning role, this is a genuine leadership and growth role. You will have the scope to:

Help shape our recruitment strategy and attract the next generation of top-tier talent
Drive improvements in infrastructure, systems, and technology, including the intelligent use of AI
Identify and help develop new practice areas, sectors, and opportunities as the firm continues to expand If you enjoy autonomy, influence, and seeing your ideas turn into reality, this role is designed for you.

Who We’re Looking For

You will be:

8+ years PQE in corporate and commercial law
A proven relationship-builder, with the ability to attract, retain, and grow clients
Commercially minded, confident, and credible with senior stakeholders
Entrepreneurial in outlook and comfortable taking ownership and driving growth Experience in the energy sector is a plus, but not essential. What matters most is your ambition, judgment, and appetite to build.

Established in 2010, Prospect Law Ltd (PLL) is a unique Multi-Disciplinary Practice which is ranked in the Legal 500 for its reputation in the renewable and nuclear energy sectors.

The firm has grown rapidly over the last 15 years, and there are three key fee-earning sides to the business:

Legal Services;
Risk Management; and
ESG Auditing.

We operate across a range of industries, advising major corporates, government bodies, regulators, and SMEs both in the UK and internationally.

The founding directors are lawyers (one solicitor, one barrister) and both are closely involved in all of the firm’s practice areas. We are now looking to attract a high-calibre corporate and commercial solicitor to assist with the management and growth of the legal services side of the firm.
