Consultant Role (Profit Share Basis)

We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join Prospect Law on a profit share basis, to develop the firm’s work in the insurance and risk managements sectors.

The Opportunity

We are interested in recruiting an English-qualified barrister or solicitor with experience in contentious and/or non contentious insurance law matters.

Suitable candidates will have a track record in advising clients on a wide variety of insurance related issues. They will already have a substantial client following of their own, and will be keen to continue to generate and service that work.

Candidates will also assist the directors with the broader management of client work across the different practice areas of the firm.

We offer a mixed remuneration package which will include between 70-75% of fees generated from the candidate’s own client work, as well as an element of target based profit sharing from the additional management and client development roles we envisage.

About Prospect Law

PLL is an SRA regulated Multi-Disciplinary Practice (MDP). The firm is based at offices in Farringdon in London. The firm specialises in advisory and contentious work in the energy (and particularly the renewable and nuclear energy) sector. A growing and increasingly important area of work for the firm is advising on risk mitigation and risk transfer strategies. This role is intended for someone to take an active lead in developing this area. Energy sector experience is preferable but not essential.

PLL is regularly listed as a leading firm in its areas of expertise, and our clients include a wide range of UK and international companies, as well as regulatory organisations and local authorities.

We have a number of full (and some part time) lawyers, as well as technical energy experts. Most of our lawyers work on a fee sharing basis under a consultancy contract.
