Fulfilling obligations towards staff and managing a happier, more balanced workforce.
Overview
Employment law relating to equality and diversity in the workplace is broad and complex and creating genuinely inclusive working environments is a core objective for any organisation. The benefits are hugely significant but so too is the potential disruption, damage and costs that can be caused when companies get it wrong. As well as impacts on working relationships, morale, and reputational damage, the cost implications of potential Tribunal claims for discrimination can be unlimited.
Training can be critically important in this respect and this workshop helps organisations understand the legal context, benefits, and risks. It focuses on informed, preventative planning to help organisations proactively protect their position before it ever needs protecting, as well as advice on dealing with problems when they arise.
The workshop provides practical guidance from a senior employment law specialist and explores the commercial application of the law and focuses on actionable insights and concepts.
It defines key aspects of the law, complexities and forms of discrimination and its impacts and consequences. It examines factors and processes that can prevent issues from arising in the first place and what can be done if problems do occur.
